Our company is not legally required to appoint a data protection officer. If you have any questions about data protection, please contact us directly at the address above.

2. Overview

We process personal data only to the extent necessary to operate this website, answer your enquiries and place international healthcare professionals, or where you have given your consent. Below we inform you in accordance with Art. 13 and 14 GDPR about which data we process, for what purposes, on what legal basis and for how long.

3. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by STRATO AG, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. We have concluded a data processing agreement with STRATO pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. The servers are located in Germany.

When you visit the website, information transmitted by your browser is automatically stored in server log files: IP address, date and time of access, page visited, referrer URL, browser type and version, and operating system. This data is technically necessary to deliver the website and ensure its security. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in the secure and stable operation of the website. Log files are deleted or anonymised after 7 days at the latest, unless they are needed to investigate a security incident.

4. SSL/TLS encryption

For security reasons, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by “https://” in the address bar of your browser. Data you send via our forms cannot be read by third parties.

5. Contact and application forms, email and phone

Our website contains three forms:

  • Contact form (name, email, phone, topic, message),
  • Employer enquiry form (name, organisation, email, phone, profession needed, message),
  • Form for professionals (name, email, phone, country, profession, German level, message).

Your details are sent to us by email via WordPress and are also stored in the website database so that no enquiry is lost. If you contact us by email or phone, we process the data you provide in the same way.

Purpose and legal basis: We use your details to answer your enquiry and – for professionals – to prepare your path to employment in Germany together with you. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures or contract), otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in processing enquiries).

Sharing with employers: If you agree as a professional, we share your application data (in particular name, contact details, profession, qualifications, German skills and application documents) with hospitals, care and healthcare facilities in Germany that are suitable for employment. The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future, e.g. by email to kontakt@mycarecareer.com.

Storage period: We delete general enquiries six months after they have been fully processed. We store application data of professionals for the duration of the placement process. If you have agreed to be added to our talent pool, we will also store your data for up to 36 months in order to offer you further suitable positions; after that we will ask for your consent again. Statutory retention obligations (e.g. under commercial and tax law, up to ten years) remain unaffected.

6. Cookies and consent management

We use technically necessary cookies and – only with your consent – cookies for audience measurement. The storage of and access to information on your device is governed by § 25 TDDDG (German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act).

  • Technically necessary (§ 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG, Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR): pll_language stores the selected language (1 year); cookies of the consent tool Complianz store your choice in the cookie banner (1 year). For logged-in editors, WordPress also sets login cookies.
  • Statistics (only with consent, § 25 (1) TDDDG, Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR): Google Analytics cookies, see section 7.

On your first visit, a cookie banner asks for your consent. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the “Manage consent” button or in our cookie policy (link in the footer). There you will also find an overview of all cookies used.

7. Google Analytics

If you have given your consent, we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies (e.g. _ga, _ga_<ID>, up to 2 years) that enable an analysis of how the website is used, such as pages visited, time spent, approximate location (country/city), device type and browser. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses.

Purpose: We want to understand how our website is used in order to improve our content and services.

Legal basis: Your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and § 25 (1) TDDDG. Without consent, Google Analytics is not loaded. You can withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie settings.

Data processing and third-country transfer: We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google. It cannot be ruled out that data is transferred to servers of Google LLC in the USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; the transfer is based on the adequacy decision of the EU Commission (Art. 45 GDPR). In addition, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses apply.

Storage period: Usage data in Google Analytics is automatically deleted after 14 months.

More information: Google Privacy Policy.

8. Fonts and icons

The fonts used on this website (Montserrat, Open Sans) and the icons are loaded locally from our own server. No connection to servers of Google or other providers is established.

9. Links to social networks

On our website we link to our profiles on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. These are simple links, not embedded plugins. Data is only transferred when you click a link and visit the provider website; the privacy policy of the respective provider applies there.

10. Recipients of your data

Within our company, only the persons who need your data for processing have access to it. External recipients are our hosting provider STRATO (processor), Google (only if you consent to Google Analytics) and – only with your consent – healthcare facilities in Germany to which we place professionals. Beyond that, we only share your data if we are legally obliged to do so.

11. Your rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR),
  • Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR),
  • Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR),
  • Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
  • Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR),
  • Right to withdraw consent with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR).

Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): Where we process data on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation.

Right to lodge a complaint: You can lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany, www.lda.bayern.de.

12. Obligation to provide data

Providing your data is neither legally nor contractually required. However, without the information marked as mandatory we cannot process your enquiry or application. There is no automated decision-making, including profiling.

13. Changes

We update this privacy policy when the website or legal requirements change. The version published here applies.
